Volga -1934 – 35′ 6 Metre Racing Sloop

Mahogany/pine, double-planked hull over steam-bent white oak frames. (Single planked below the waterline.) Mahogany superstructure, teak decks and a lead ballast keel. Sitka spruce mast (for pattern only).
“Volga” is a 1934 Mylne design built in Scotland. For the past 40 years she has been out of the water resting in the previous owner’s back yard. Unfortunately the elements have taken their toll on her and now she will require extensive restoration and complete refinishing. At this point we hope to salvage 10% of the original vessel. We do have the original plans, and they show that she was originally a flush-deck sloop with a double cockpit. The mast is broken in two and deteriorated – it will now serve as a pattern for a new one. She has a small (siezed) inboard engine. “Volga” is now resting in a new substantially built wooden cradle.
The crew at Woodwind Yachts would be pleased to undertake this extensive restoration project for you. I estimate costs to be between $180,000.00 and $240,000.00 Canadian, depending upon your level of expectations.
Reduced to $500.00 O.B.O.
