Varnished marine plywood hull with spruce frames. Canvas overtop forward deck frames. No motor or trailer. This great little hydroplane requires restoration and refinishing to bring her back to 'new' condition. As is $1,250.00 (More importantly - we will be restoring and refinishing this great little hydro in memory of my friend Patrick Wren.) Additional information: This little 'Flyaway' was raced at Toronto's C.N.E. in regattas from 1934 to 1940. She placed 1st in the MLA 'open outboard' motor boat race in 1937, and was awarded 2nd place in 1938. She was owned and raced by Bill Minett (nephew of Bert Minett/Minett-Shields) during these years. Her hull raceboat # is Z19. |
