OWNER: David Rein, Michigan, U.S.A. PROJECT: Remove and replace approx. 50 ribs, 11 planks, lower inner stem, outer stem and keel, transom, upper transom knees, splashrails, gunwales, coamings, 1 interior seat, aft deck beam and floorboards. Remove, repair and re-install upper inner stem, inner keel, lower transom knee and decks. Completely refinish vessel inside and out with 5 coats of premium varnish. And now the project concludes .......... |

The new
laminated outer stem has now been installed (but not yet cut to length)
along with the new outwales and rubrails.

The original
decks were salvaged and repaired as necessary. They were then varnished
on the undersides and reinstalled onto the vessel.

The new
oak coaming has been steam-bent and temporarily clamped onto the boat
to dry.

The original
decks and new coaming have now been sanded and varnished to catch
up to the hull.

The "Peterborough"
decal is meticulously hand painted in gold with red outline exactly
as the original, prior to the final coat of varnish. (We have found
that available reproduction decals are not exactly as the originals).

The interior
has now been installed, along with her new cedar floorboards.

Hardware
installed, she now awaits spring pickup by her owner. What a beauty!
